“Wabash College’s gender studies minor was a crucial steppingstone in my academic career as it provided me the tools necessary to adapt to any environment. The minor enhanced my critical thinking skills, strengthened my interdisciplinary rigor, and deepened my understanding and awareness of global issues. It also provided me an open environment to explore personal issues in the comforting and constructive company of brotherhood.”

Current Path: Fast track manager at Crew Carwash. Former Wabash College assistant football coach.

Wabash makes studying complex fields accessible to anybody. Specifically in the case of gender studies, the professors gracefully allowed me to figure it out. 亚洲通 learned important concepts and how they apply to the world we live in. Everybody should receive the grace that I did when learning about them. It was refreshing to engage with my classmates and the greater Wabash community in ways that helped me understand myself first. Gender studies provided me with the tools to be more inclusive, and I use those tools daily in my life and my profession.”

“Gender studies played a pivotal role in shaping my maturity, empathy, and overall understanding of the world. Through the study of intersectionality, I learned how to respect and appreciate the experiences and identities of the people around me. These lessons are essential in my work as an HR manager, where empathy, awareness, and the ability to distinguish and communicate intent from impact are critical to resolving conflicts and fostering safe, inclusive environments across all my locations. I encourage every student to consider gender studies, as it offers a chance to broaden your perspective in ways that will benefit you in the real world, where people and relationships matter.”
